- a transcription of the "1930 Atlas and Farmers' Directory of Trempealeau County, Wisconsin"

The 1930 Farmers' Directory of Trempealeau Co. WI is a key piece of data for those whose families were farmers at that time in Trempealeau Co., WI.  Information provided in this directory tells us many things including:
  • The post office where mail was received,
  • If married, the wife's name,
  • Names of children and/or anyone else that lived in their home,
  • If they rented or owned the land,
  • How many acres they owned and/or rented (if rented land, who the owner was),
  • What section of the the township in which the land was located,
  • How many years they resided in the county,
  • If their farm had a silo (if so, how many), a telephone, electricity or a tractor
  • The name of the farm, and
  • What breeds of animals were raised by the family.
Names are listed alphabetically according to the post office that served the farm.  There may be more than one postoffice that served in the township, so be sure to check the full records per township.  Some information is limited, but please keep in mind that all information has been included as it was found in the Farmers' Directory.

Also visit the 1930 Atlas Maps to view locations of many of these landowners' properties.
